I received my PhD in Telecommunications Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 2009 (main subjects; Processing on biomedical images. Motion estimation on cardiac magnetic resonance images). I also hold a M.S. Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad de Valladolid - 2004.

I have been collaborating in various international research centers and institutes on Biomedical Imaging Processing and Telemedicine areas. I have worked as a pre-doctoral researcher in the Image Processing and Vision Modeling (IPMOD) Group at CSIC (Spanish Scientific Research Council), and as a post-doc researcher in the Dep. of Information Processing and Codification at CSIC, in Erasmus Medical Center at the Dep. of Medical Informatics and Radiology (Biomedical Imaging Group Rotterdam) and in the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (Telemedicine and eHealth Research Unit) on telemedicine related projects.

In 2011-2012 I have worked at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, as a researcher and technical project manager in the biomedical image processing field, and as an external lecturer. I also have experience in private sector, as I worked in Alma IT Systems in the Research Department as a Senior Researcher.

 
Since October 2013, I work in the Multicellular Systems Biology lab in the Centre for Genomic Regulation, in the SWARM-ORGAN project.
