WP1 has two main objectives:

1. To define, maintain and update the consortium's standard 2D model. To ensure that the model remains suitable for all WPs, and to ensure that all partners are directly involved in its definition and usage in their own various WPs.
2. Later, WP1 will switch from supporting the unified 2D model, collecting and collating the results from the different WPs. It will use a variety of approaches to bring the understanding of dynamical systems into a single framework, or landscape which maps the space of possible designs to the space of useful behaviours.
